Rainwater NW 280 is manufactured with Made in Belgium engineering to physically capture sand, silt, rust, mud and suspended solids carried in water, so that the rest of the system runs more stably and lasts longer. Its special centrifugal (cyclonic) technology separates coarse particles by centrifugal force, directs them to the bottom of the bowl and prevents premature clogging of the filter. With a high flow capacity of 7 m³ per hour, it delivers uninterrupted pre-treatment performance in commercial and industrial processes.
It is the most reliable line of defence, preventing softening, R/O, UV and process equipment from being damaged by particles and clogging prematurely.
With an average flow capacity of 7 m³/hour, it provides powerful, stable filtration without reducing water pressure in your plumbing.
Its advanced cyclonic design separates heavy sediment before it reaches the filter element, minimising operating and maintenance costs.
The extended 530 cm² surface area maximises dirt-holding capacity and lengthens filter replacement intervals.

Pressure loss (bar) by flow rate; shows how much pressure the filter loses at each flow rate.

The bowl and filter element can be removed for easy cleaning or replacement.

Sand, silt, rust and sediment carried in mains, well or rain water wear out plumbing, pumps and downstream purification units. The NW 280 is a sediment pre-filter fitted at the water inlet that mechanically captures these solid particles.
For building inlets, hotels, restaurants and industrial lines. With a 1” connection size, it provides an average flow rate of 7 m³/hour.
As water passes through the filter element, the 25-micron pores let the water through and hold back larger particles; this is a purely physical, not chemical, filtration. The multi-layer filter structure retains dirt better even under high sediment loads, and the large filtration surface provides high flow and low pressure loss.
A sediment filter does not on its own remove dissolved chemicals such as chlorine, or microorganisms; for this reason, it is used as a pre-filter ahead of softening, activated carbon, reverse osmosis and UV systems, protecting them.
Installed on the water inlet line. The filter element can be cleaned or replaced; you can tell the filter is full when the pressure difference increases and the flow drops. The product is covered by a 2+8 year warranty.

It mechanically captures solid particles in the water such as sand, silt, rust and sediment, protecting the plumbing and downstream purification units.
No. A sediment filter only captures solid particles; activated carbon is needed for chlorine, and UV or reverse osmosis for microorganisms.
With a 1” connection size, it provides an average flow rate of 7 m³/hour.
As the filter fills up, the pressure difference between inlet and outlet increases and the flow drops; this indicates that it is time to clean or replace it.
It is covered by a 2+8 year warranty.
