High-capacity dual-membrane reverse osmosis system

The Rainwater RV 240 Reverse Osmosis Water Purifier is designed for businesses and industrial applications with high water demand. With 2 × 4” x 40” membranes, TFC spiral-wound membrane technology, a feed capacity of 16 m³ and a recovery rate of 50%–55%, it delivers powerful, controlled water purification.

  • Dual-membrane high capacity

With its 2-membrane design and water production capacity of 8 m³, it helps meet high-volume purified water needs.

  • TFC spiral-wound membranes

The advanced membrane design aims to deliver stable, efficient performance in reverse osmosis filtration.

  • Industrial equipment set

Designed for professional use with a stainless steel vertical centrifugal high-pressure pump, automatic valves and a flow-adjustable wastewater line.

  • Traceable water quality

Glycerine-filled pressure gauges and a product water conductivity indicator make it easy to monitor system performance.

RV 240 Reverse Osmosis Water Purifier

Multi-Layer Hyper Filtration Technology

  1. Through the connection, mains water first reaches the pre-filter with 5-micron pores. The job of this high-tech filter is to remove coarse impurities, i.e. sediment such as dust, sand, algae and insects, down to 5 microns. Water that has been thoroughly clarified by the sediment filter, which traps suspended particles and bacteria larger than 5 microns, may still contain some microorganisms, dissolved chemicals and minerals.

  2. The water then reaches the carbon block filter. The job of the carbon block filter is to remove organic matter that causes unpleasant taste, odour and colour, as well as chlorine and any gaseous odours in the water. It makes the water tastier, clearer and odourless. It provides advanced filtration by filtering the water, already filtered to 5 microns by the sediment filter, to a precision of 1 micron.

  3. Hyper filtration, the heart of the system, has a semi-permeable membrane structure. It operates at a pressure of at least 2.5 atmospheres. Its pores measure between 8 and 10 angstroms. Heavy metals that may be dissolved in water, such as lead, mercury, nitrate, arsenic and copper, as well as various chemicals or contaminants such as bacteria and limescale, have no chance of passing through the semi-permeable membrane, whose pores are around one millionth of a millimetre. Only water molecules and the anions and cations beneficial to human health pass through this filter.

  4. Finally, on its way from the tank to the tap, the water reaches the alkaline filter, whose performance is doubled by using ceramic and coconut shell, to gain flavour. The job of this filter is to remove substances that cause odour, prevent the formation of microorganisms and balance the pH of the drinking water between 8.5 and 9.0. Enriched with silver ions to improve its taste and with its alkaline pH raised, the water is enriched with calcium, magnesium, sodium, potassium, iron, phosphorus and minerals that nourish our body.

Product description

Cafés, restaurants, food production or process water: at certain points in a business, the dissolved substances in mains water need to be reduced. The Rainwater RV 240 is an industrial reverse osmosis water purifier designed for this need.

Who is the Rainwater RV 240 for?

For businesses and facilities that need large quantities of purified water. It has a water production capacity of 8 m³.

How does it work?

Water first passes through a 5-micron cartridge filter. The high-pressure pump then drives the water through 2 × 4” × 40” TFC spiral-wound membranes; dissolved substances are separated out and the product water goes to the service line. The recovery rate is 50–55%. The conductivity of the product water is monitored on the indicator and the pressures on the gauges.

Installation and maintenance

The unit is installed after checking the feed water values (TDS no more than 2,000 ppm, pH 6–8, inlet pressure 2–5 bar). Contact us for capacity selection, installation and maintenance.
