The Rainwater SL 160 is built with Made in Belgium engineering to meet domestic water filtration needs to the highest quality standards. Its special centrifugal filtration system mechanically traps solid particles that may be present in water, such as sand, mud, dust and rust. This technology directs larger particles to the lower part of the filter bowl, extending the life of the filter element. Made from high-quality synthetic materials fully suitable for contact with drinking water and food, the SL 160 ensures the trouble-free operation of the softening, reverse osmosis (R/O) and UV systems in your home.
Its advanced cyclonic design separates coarse sediment before it reaches the filter, so it needs less maintenance and offers a long service life.
Its premium synthetic housing is 100% compatible with drinking water and food applications.
Despite its compact design, which is easy to install in tight spaces, its flow capacity of 3 m³/h ensures uninterrupted flow without lowering your home's water pressure.
You can check how dirty your system is at any time through the transparent housing, without opening the unit or shutting off the water.

Pressure loss (bar) by flow rate; shows how much pressure loss the filter causes at each flow rate.

The bowl and filter element can be removed for easy cleaning or replacement.

The confidence of flawless quality: freshness and peace of mind for everyday life.

Sand, mud, rust and sediment carried in mains, well or rainwater wear down plumbing, pumps and downstream purification equipment. The SL 160 is a sediment pre-filter fitted at the water inlet that mechanically traps these solid particles.
For homes, building inlets and well/rainwater systems. With a 3/4” connection, it provides an average flow rate of 3 m³/h.
As water passes through the filter element, the 25-micron pores let the water through and trap larger particles; this is an entirely physical, not chemical, straining process. Thanks to the transparent bowl, the filter's condition can be seen at any time; the centrifugal design directs sediment, sand and suspended particles to the lower part of the bowl.
On its own, a sediment filter does not remove dissolved chemicals such as chlorine, or microorganisms; for that, it is used as a pre-filter ahead of softening, activated carbon, reverse osmosis and UV systems, protecting them.
It is installed on the water inlet line. The filter element can be cleaned or replaced; you can tell the filter is full when the pressure difference increases and the flow drops. The product is covered by a 2+8 year warranty.

It mechanically traps solid particles in the water such as sand, mud, rust and sediment, protecting the plumbing and downstream purification equipment.
No. A sediment filter only traps solid particles; chlorine requires activated carbon, and microorganisms require UV or reverse osmosis.
With a 3/4” connection, it provides an average flow rate of 3 m³/h.
As the filter fills up, the pressure difference between inlet and outlet increases and the flow drops; this indicates that it is time for cleaning or replacement.
It is covered by a 2+8 year warranty.
