The Rainwater SL 240 is built with Made in Belgium engineering to mechanically remove sand, sediment, rust and suspended solids from water. With a much larger filtration surface than the SL 160, this model provides long maintenance intervals and uninterrupted flow in areas with heavier water use. Its special centrifugal (cyclonic) filtration system uses centrifugal force to direct coarse particles to the bottom of the filter bowl, preventing the filter from clogging prematurely. With its high-quality synthetic body, suitable for contact with drinking water and food, it serves as excellent pre-treatment ahead of softening, reverse osmosis (R/O) and UV systems.
Thanks to its large 440 cm² surface area, its dirt-holding capacity is much higher than that of standard filters, extending filter replacement intervals.
Offering 3/4” or 1” connection options, it delivers stable performance without pressure loss at high flow rates of up to 4.5 m³ per hour.
Its advanced cyclonic design separates heavy sediment before it reaches the filter element, reducing operating and maintenance costs.
The condition of the filter can be checked visually at any time through the transparent body, without needing to stop the system.

Pressure loss (bar) by flow rate; shows how much pressure the filter loses at each flow rate.

The bowl and filter element can be removed for easy cleaning or replacement.

Sand, mud, rust and sediment carried in mains, well or rain water wear out plumbing, pumps and the purification equipment downstream. The SL 240 is a sediment pre-filter fitted at the water inlet that mechanically traps these solid particles.
Homes, small businesses, high-pressure washing and agricultural irrigation. With a 3/4” or 1” connection, it provides an average flow rate of 3.5 / 4.5 m³/h.
As water passes through the filter element, the 25-micron pores let the water through and trap larger particles; this is a purely physical, not chemical, straining process. Thanks to the transparent bowl, the condition of the filter can be seen at any time; the centrifugal design directs sediment, sand and suspended particles to the bottom of the bowl.
On its own, a sediment filter does not remove dissolved chemicals such as chlorine or microorganisms; for that, it is used as a pre-filter ahead of softening, activated carbon, reverse osmosis and UV systems, protecting them.
It is installed on the water inlet line. The filter element can be cleaned or replaced; you can tell the filter is full when the pressure difference increases and the flow drops. The product is covered by a 2+8-year warranty.

It mechanically traps solid particles in the water such as sand, mud, rust and sediment, protecting the plumbing and the purification equipment downstream.
No. A sediment filter traps only solid particles; activated carbon is needed for chlorine, and UV or reverse osmosis for microorganisms.
With a 3/4” or 1” connection, it provides an average flow rate of 3.5 / 4.5 m³/h.
As the filter fills, the pressure difference between inlet and outlet increases and the flow drops; this shows that it is time to clean or replace it.
It is covered by a 2+8-year warranty.
